Unique Selling Points
Located in the Southern Sabi Sand Game Reserve, Lion Sands Sabi Sand is the only Reserve in South Africa to offer a safari in both the Sabie and Sand River ecosystems. The Reserve is family owned and managed by the 4th generation More Family. Their grandfather was one of the founding members of the Sabi Sand Wildtuin in 1948 instilling a long history of community and conservation. There is a unique programme of activities for guests to tailor-make their stay including our famous Chalkley & Kingston Treehouse experiences: Part of the family-owned and operated collection of MORE properties.

Best Time To Travel
An all-year-round safari destination where the variation in experience is temperature-related rather than safari-related as we do not have any migratory species. The best bird-watching period is from October to April.

Lion Sands Sabi Sand is located in the Southern Sabi Sand Wildtuin with 7,000 hectares (17,000 acres) of arguably Africa’s most pristine Big 5 territory.
