Welcome to Tinga - Lion Sands' Luxury Lodge in the Kruger National Park

Welcome to Tinga!

We are always surprised at how a visit to Tinga can completely restore our energy after just a few days. When you’re right on the Sabie River, watching the animals and surrounded entirely by bush and sky, you really feel like you’re suspended in time and removed from the world as you know it.

Tinga is an escape that everyone should enjoy at least once in their lifetime.

A Very Special Place in the World”, williambillp2016(Tripadvisor) “Never having been to a game lodge before IU had no preconceptions of what to expect. Within minutes of our arrival we were up close with extraordinary wild animals. Each game drive was special. Mark and Emmanuelle, our ranger and tracker, were incredibly good at locating and bringing us within touching distance of the Big Five. We took some extraordinary photos and left with lifetime memories. But what really sets this lodge apart is the warm and caring staff members. Everyone at the lodge seemed genuinely interested in us as people and could not do enough to make our trip special, Go here. You will not regret it.

The best animal viewing and lodging experience you can have”, Reumann (Tripadvisor) “Just spent 3 nights in this wonderful lodge. I visited it last year and made a choice to return with a group this year because of the service we experienced, the game viewing and the lodging experience. The rooms at Tinga and Narina are very similar, with each having 9 rooms.. These are not rooms in the traditional sense, they are wonderful, large rooms with great views of the river and the animals that come to water. It was very dry because of a drought which is causing harm to grazing animals like hippos and cape buffalo, but all others are fine. Rainy season is starting now and I hope they get lots of water.
