First Impala lambs

After our first rains, wherever one now looks, there is life, from the multitude of centipedes and dung beetles appearing to the snakes and monitors, new life is everywhere. This is also the case with Lion Sands Impala population.

Several Impala ewes have begun giving birth as with the rains, conditions have become favorable. There is plenty of lush green grass available for ewes to produce milk that the juveniles depend on, as well as plenty of cover to hide new born babies from predators. As the wet season continues, more and more ewes will give birth, as conditions remain favorable for raising offspring on Lion Sands.
